Discussion Room
- There is one Discussion Room provided at the First Level, UNIMEL Library.
- The use of Discussion Room is for discussion, presentation and other academic activities only.
- Discussion Room reservation matter can be made at the Reference Counter, First Level and at the Information Service Counter, Ground Level.
- The Discussion Room can accommodate minimum 4 up to maximum 15 users at a time and the time duration of usage is 2 hours.
- The reservation and usage of Discussion Room is free and open o all committee of UNIMEL.
Computer Room with Internet
- UNIMEL Library provides Computer Room facility completed with 20 units of computers along with Internet.
- Users can make observation at the Information Service Counter and use computers at the Ground Level, UNIMEL library.
- This Computer Room is provided for the purpose of information serching in the library, online database, as well as other information sources.
- The Computer Room is also utilized for the purpose information Literacy Class or other activities that require the use of computers.
- The usage access of Computer Room is open to the UNIMEL committee especially students and lectures.
Thesis Reference Room
- UNIMEL library has a Thesis Reference Room at the Second Level that houses UNIMEL student’s thesis collections at the Bachelor Degree level, Master level and PhD level.
- This thesis collection can only be used as reference in the Thesis Reference Room.
- In order to facilitate the search of thesis collection, the users can refer to the staff on duty at the Reference Counter at the Second Level to obtain the materials.
- The use of Thesis Reference Room is open to the UNIMEL committee only.
Locker
- UNIMEL library provides locker facility located in the area near the main entrance of the library for daily use.
- Open lockers are provided at the Ground Level to make ease for the users to place their bags, personal belongings, or items that cannot be taken into the library.
Reading Corner
- UNIMEL library provides Reading Corner at the Ground Level of the library near the Circulation and Information Service Counter.
- The Purpose of the Reading Corner is to make ease for the users to read magazine collection and spend leisure activities in the library.
Wi-Fi
- UNIMEL library provides Wi-Fi facility, where the network area can cover the entire library building.
- The users who use laptop or smart device can access and use Wi-Fi in the library, whereas the users can obtain the Wi-Fi password from the staff on duty at the Information Service Counter.
Self-service Printing and Photocopying Machine
- UNIMEL library provides printing and photocopying service with self- service concept at the First Level of the library to faciliates the library users to make color and black and white printing and photocopy via self service.
- The users can obtain access card at the UNIMEL Finance Counter before using the facility.
- The users can refer to the staff on duty at the Reference Counter at the First Level to get guidelines of using self-service printing and photocopying facility.
Carel Desk
- UNIMEL library has carel desk facility placed at the First and Second Level of the library building.
- This carel desk facility is provided especially for the users who want to make reference, assignments, or learning activites individually.
- Each carel deks can only be utilized by one user at a time.
Discussion Area
- This Discussion Area facilities are provided at the First and Second Level of the library building to facilitate the users to make discussions, reference, assignments, and conduct academic activities in group in open space.
Prayer Room
- UNIMEL library provides prayer room facility to enable Muslim users to perform their prayer in the library.
- This prayer room facility is located at the First Level of the library building and divided into two, which are male and female prayer room. The library’s prayer room is only open from 1.00 pm until the library is closed.
- This prayer room facility is completed with ablution area and qibla pointer for “ibadat” use by the UNIMEL library users.
