Al-Ghazali Library has been operating alongside the establishment of the main campus of University Islam Melaka (UNIMEL), formerly known as University College of Islam Melaka. The UNIMEL library’s building has been renovated completely on 8 August 2012, as this renovation has been carried out align with the facility needs of any library in higher education institution.
From the aspect of collection development, the UNIMEL library owns more than 20,000 collection of books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, journals, thesis, audio visual materials, and diverse of reading materials relevant with the academic needs of UNIMEL library users. Lots of initiative have been done by the UNIMEL library in carrying out and achieving its vision, missions, and objectives align with the vision of University Islam Melaka, which is to “become an excellent academic center in Islamic-based studies”.
